Marianna Yarovskaya is a Russian-born American filmmaker.

In 1998 Marianna directed and produced Undesirables, which won a Student Academy Award (Student Oscar) and screened at Cannes. Since 2000 she has worked for NASA, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, History Channel, and Greenpeace as Producer and Senior Editor. In 2006 she was Head of Research on An Inconvenient Truth, which won an Academy Award.

In 2007, she produced six science episodes for the History Channel, entitled “The Universe”, and started working on a film about shamans of the world. She is also currently working in research on a film on the state of nuclear weapons in the world for Participant Productions (An Inconvenient Truth, Good Night and Good Luck, Fast Food Nation, etc.), as well as on a National Geographic show.

2009 Summer, she is invited by “943 Studio” to participant the Artist-In-Residence programme in Kunming.
